JOY M. BRENNAN received her Bachelor of Arts degree with University and Foundation Honors from Texas A&M University in 2000, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law in 2003. While in law school, Ms. Brennan was a member of the ABA Moot Court Team and a Notes Editor for the Review of Litigation. Following graduation, she practiced in the areas of real estate and bankruptcy litigation with a law firm located in Dallas, Texas. Ms. Brennan was an active volunteer with The Family Place, a Dallas based organization committed to ending domestic violence.

Ms. Brennan is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, and Southern Districts of Texas. Ms. Brennan joined Smith & Carr, P.C. in 2008
